Process Operations @ Chemicals 

Our ammonia, ammonium nitrate, nitric acid and sodium cyanide facilities are world-class and environmentally efficient in their design and operation. We offer a technically challenging and varied role, with opportunities to operate both solid and liquid plants.

Based in Kwinana, our Process Operators ensure the optimal operation and maintenance of our plants and equipment, ensuring we meet set targets and customer demands in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

As a Process Operator, you will:

  • Achieve plant utilisation and production targets by monitoring and controlling plant and equipment
  • Operate start-up and shutdown equipment in the field and control room as required
  • Interpret product sample analysis results and ensure it is to specification
  • Complete relevant sections of Work Permits in accordance with procedures
  • Initiate, support and conduct minor maintenance activities on plant and equipment

We seek Process Operators who have:

  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills
  • Initiative, enthusiasm and commitment
  • Experience in a process environment
  • Certificate III in Process Operations (desirable)
  • Boiler and turbine ticket (desirable)
  • Distributed Control Systems experience (desirable)

Engineering @ Chemicals

Our engineers play a key role in optimising the operation and reliability of our facilities, as well as developing and implementing capital projects.

Our engineering teams provide operational and technical support to our production teams by monitoring, evaluating and controlling plant performances to ensure production and process efficiency in accordance with our capital and operating budgets and strategic plans.

We provide opportunities in the following areas:

  • Process engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Reliability engineering
  • Electrical/instrumentation engineering
  • Project engineering

As an engineer in our chemicals businesses, your work is technically challenging and can include the following:

  • Developing and maintaining engineering and safety standards
  • Contributing to annual business plans
  • Investigating plant and equipment issues and finding solutions
  • Facilitating continuous improvement in process efficiency, product quality and quantity
  • Assisting with inspection programs
  • Developing design specifications for new projects and formulating cost estimates
  • Managing sub-contractors and projects

We seek people with:

  • An engineering degree in a relevant discipline
  • A background in chemical manufacturing or similar industry
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance principles
  • Knowledge of safety management systems and major hazard facilities legislative codes

Sales @ Fertilisers

The sales team works across regional Western Australia, providing fertiliser advice and support to farmers to optimise soil quality for high yields, which may include advice on soil fertility and plant nutrition.

The following is an example of a key role in the sales area of CSBP Fertilisers:

Area Manager

Our Area Managers are based in regional Western Australia, and provide nutritional and fertiliser advice to farmers.

You will contribute to our growth by:

  • Ensuring targets and business objectives are met
  • Demonstrating strong technical knowledge of products
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Complying with safety and environment systems

Maintenance @ Fertilisers

Based at our Kwinana manufacturing plant in Western Australia, the maintenance team provide maintenance to the fertiliser plants to ensure optimisation of product and quality in a timely and safe manner.

Engineering Tradespersons (Mechanical and Electrical)

As an Engineering Tradesperson in the maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintenance of equipment in the business including plant breakdowns
  • Completion of scheduled shutdown work
  • Cost-efficient equipment and plant improvements aligned to company standards
  • Compliance to safety standards and systems

We seek people with:

  • Trade qualifications (electrical/mechanical)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or knowledge and experience of operations and processes in a chemical manufacturing plant
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices
  • Ability to work autonomously whilst being part of a multifunctional maintenance team
  • Demonstrated ability in fault finding and technical problem solving
