Ian Hansen, Chief Operating Officer
Ian has been the Chief Operating Officer of Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers (WesCEF), which includes CSBP, since April 2014. Prior to this, Ian was the Managing Director of the Chemicals and Fertilisers division of Wesfarmers (CSBP) from October 2007 until it merged with the Wesfarmers Energy division in July 2010, after which he became CEO – Chemicals.
Ian has held executive roles in both the chemicals and fertilisers areas of Wesfarmers, having responsibility for the activities of the ammonia, ammonium nitrate, sodium cyanide and industrial chemicals businesses, as well as fertiliser sales, distribution, supply chain and manufacturing.
During Ian’s 30 years with Wesfarmers, he has held a wide range of operational and commercial management roles.
Ian is a director of a number of Wesfarmers Group subsidiaries and joint ventures and is a board member of the Plastics and Chemicals Industries Association. Ian is also a past president of the Kwinana Industries Council and a former director of the Australian Institute of Management WA.
Liane Unewisse, General Manager Human Resources, Health, Safety & Environment
Liane is the General Manager of Human Resources and Health, Safety and Environment at WesCEF, which includes CSBP, a role she has held since 2015.
Before taking up this role, Liane was the General Manager of Health, Safety and Environment at WesCEF for five years, and the General Manager of Human Resources, Safety, Environment & Improvement at CSBP for five years.
Prior to commencing at CSBP, Liane was employed with Downer EDI Engineering Pty Limited in a number of roles, including National Safety, Training and Quality Systems Manager; Site Construction Manager; Commissioning Engineer; and State Safety and QA Manager. In addition Liane was employed as a Naval Officer (Weapons Electrical Engineer) with the Royal Australian Navy with a range of roles on ships, and land based construction, maintenance and training facilities.
Liane holds a Bachelor Engineering (Electrical), Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resources and Education, is an adjunct Lecturer at Curtin University and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Ross Martelli, General Manager Chemicals
A mechanical engineer with more than 30 years’ experience, Ross began his career at CSBP as a plant engineer in 1982. Since then Ross has held several positions within the business including General Manager Technical Services, General Manager Kwinana Manufacture, Business Manager Ammonium Nitrate and various production management roles. He was also appointed to the CSBP and WesCEF Boards in 2006 and 2010 respectively.
Ross holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Technology, a Masters of Business from Curtin University and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia.
Charlie Perkins, General Manager Fertilisers
Charlie joined CSBP in 2006 as Commercial Manager – Fertilisers, before accepting the role of Chief Financial Officer in 2008. In 2009, Charlie was appointed General Manager Sodium Cyanide, and in 2012 took on the role of General Manager Ammonia / Ammonium Nitrate. Since 2013, Charlie has held the role of General Manager of CSBP Fertilisers.
Previously, Charlie has worked in various corporate finance positions with Ernst & Young, Deloitte and Australian Railroad Group, a former entity of Wesfarmers.
Charlie is a Chartered Accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments.
