Strong recovery of nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P); adequate supply of sulphur (S), calcium (Ca), boron (B), and molybdenum (Mo). Potassium (K) was marginal where Potash omitted.

Key results
- Plant tests indicated that only potassium would be limiting
- Potassium deficiency led to crop lodging and yield loss in the ‘High NS’ treatment
- Potash increased yield by 0.5t/ha.
